Seriously though, talk about a crazy morning. Nothing went as planned, everything was difficult, and why was everyone so dang cranky? You meant well and tried your best, but here you are halfway through the day and you're desperate for motivation. Or you're just plain exhausted and feeling like you don't even want to try. 

I'VE BEEN THERE TOO, GIRL. SO LET'S DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

You don't have to let the day end the way it began... you know this, right? You're probably rolling your eyes mumbling something about "mind over matter" and I get it! I've heard it all before, too! But I didn't do it all before the way I do this.

THE MIDDAY RESET

A fresh start.
A do-over.
A second wind.
Your round two.

This is where the morning goes to rest and the afternoon rises to redeem it.
This is where you decide how the day will be named.
This is where you stand like Gandalf in the presence of all the things and say "You shall not pass!"
(too much? ok, reeling it back in..)

THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT:

CHANGE YOUR PHYSICAL POSTURE
+Go for a walk
+Be creative
+Eat a healthy snack
+Pray or meditate
+Listen to a motivating podcast
+Declutter or clean something
+Brush your hair (hello scalp massage!)
+Quick bible study
+Stretch your legs
+Chug some water (with some fruit or herbs!)
+Apply oils
+Change your clothes (or even just a new top or fresh socks)
+Put a hot towel on your face
+Read something thought-provoking or inspiring

ADDRESS YOUR MENTAL POSTURE
Consider how the morning went. Maybe journal the thoughts that are holding you back from feeling rest or peace.
Then decide that you are going to let it be what it was and you're going to move forward without it.
You are going to leave whatever happened where it happened, and go on in freedom. 

Release what made you feel stuck, replace it with what gets you moving.

STRETCH YOUR SOCIAL POSTURE
This part may sound corny, but it's a deal-sealer. What good is all of that good work if it does good only for you? 
Now that you are feeling alive again, let it out! Call someone and tell them you miss them. High-five the mailman. Text that person who you know needs a friend. Scroll your social media feeds and throw shine on all the posts.
